Nature itself is a wonderful art and if you have been an avid admirer, it is a teacher for some of us.
In nature, mark-making, sense-making and meaning-making happens constantly. Every living or non-living objects is continuously expressing, creating impressions in both temporary and permanent ways. As artists, we observe and strive to live through these type of deliberations. I have been living and breathing cityscapes for the past 5 years now - familiarizing and perfecting my skills in different mediums and genres. This process has propelled me to evolve as an artist in this particular genre via various experimentation using space, line and form. This practice sensitized me to my immediate surroundings in terms of experiencing visual energies and expressing them as experiments. This particular series in mixed media (wood) is a result of sudden outrage of fire that happened at my place due to electric short circuit. Of course it is a traumatic circumstance for the most part. However, I found myself working my way out of this unfortunate event by taking visual cues from that incident. I began to delve deeper into all of the collateral damages, like  the clusters of solidified smoke formed on the corners of the ceiling and create a series photographs. Inspired by the expressions , I made a series of paintings in mixed media where I've instilled a new meaning and dimension by retaining the core of the initial expression to create compositions that mimics landscape.
